Nathan Meier is an associate professor of Kinesiology at Concordia University Irvine (CUI) and the principal investigator of the Lifestyle and Parkinson’s Disease Longitudinal Study (LPLS), a multi-year, student-powered research initiative assessing how modifiable lifestyle factors relate to the progression of Parkinson’s disease (PD) among adults in Orange County. His publications examine how modifiable lifestyle behaviors influence health and disease progression, with emphasis on aging and cardiometabolic, musculoskeletal, neurological, and mental health outcomes. A consistent thread is rigorous measurement science—validating tools and protocols to ensure high‑fidelity data—paired with longitudinal and translational studies.
